"For out on the edge of darkness
There runs the peace train
Peace train take this country
Come take me home again.."
~ Cat Stevens
Peace is out there somewhere, yes?
On
the edge of darkness, goes the song.
Is the edge of darkness also the edge of light?
I know that peace is near too,
right here within you and me.
"I've been crying lately
Thinking about the world as it is
Why must we go on hating?
Why can't we live in bliss?"
the song also goes.
Let's do it! Today.
Let's be the "we." You and I.
We'd love to have all of "them" out there
hop on board.
Let's hope and pray they do.
But for today, let's be the "we."
Let's not go on hating and fearing.
Let's love and live in bliss.
Today, let's see love
as the opened door
on the Peace Train car
into which we're hopping.
Choosing, hopping, and
hoping,
Charlene
