Land as art. Earth as art - a beautiful, amazing living work of art.
This Warhol quote is one of seven we
received during our week's stay at Caneel Bay. Each night on our turned-down sheets, there was a wish for a "wonderful evening and a good night's sleep" along with an inspirational quote.
Needless to say, I felt inspired, uplifted, and hope-filled as I closed my eyes each night and opened them each morning, ready to experience the beauty and richness of the island and of life itself.
I believe that is how we each want to feel, how we each want to live each day.
But how do we maintain peace and a readiness for hope, joy, and wonder?
How do we each do our part to maintain the beauty, the balance, and the health of Mother Earth?
I think we begin with conversations like this and with intention. Vision too. And we try our best.
My wish for each of us today is that we live this day with an appreciation for
the beauty of the land and seas, with a sense of wonder about life, with love and compassion for ourselves and others, that we have a good night's sleep when day is done, and that we respectfully care for the little piece of earth on which we reside.
Let's make art with all that is given to us.
