"Study how water flows in a valley stream, smoothly and freely between the rocks. Also learn from holy books and wise people. Everything - even mountains, rivers, plants and trees - should be your teacher."
~ Morihei
Ueshiba
It's when we embrace this perspective - or when we at least become open to it - that everything in nature begins to speak to us. Guidance is everywhere.
The coconut palms leaning gracefully in one direction from the prevailing winds remind me to remain rooted while being flexible.
The edible and medicinal plants pointed out by the master gardener remind me that, like plants, we all have talents and much
to offer for the good of all. They also remind me to look more to nature and become less dependent on man-made food stuffs and remedies.
The clouds, the animals that roam peacefully, the mountains, the rocks, the sugar mill ruins - they all offer lessons.
Wherever we are, today let's look and listen for what the natural world is offering for our healings and learnings.
With gratitude and
faith,
Charlene
