"Limits, like fears, are often just an illusion."
~ Michael Jordan
The first time I tiptoed in to Hawksnest Bay, the quiet little cove in
front of our room, I expected to walk out some distance before swimming or treading water. Through the crystal clear Caribbean, the sandy bottom looked very near the surface and I assumed the water was shallow.
But after a few steps, I could not touch bottom.
In fact, it felt as if the bottom fell away and I realized the limited depth I perceived was an illusion. The water was deeper than I
thought.
Like strength, I thought. Yours and mine.
So often we have the illusion that our strength is limited.
The truth is that the strength that is available for us is profoundly deep. It's vast and wide too, like the Earth's seas.
Strength. May we remember to call upon it whenever we need it. Every time. Always.
With faith,
Charlene
