"I used to blame my problems on other people. But my moment of clarity, if you want to call it that, came when I was looking in the mirror one day and just burst into tears. It wasn't just that I looked bad, it was that I knew my problem was me."

We all grasp, and accept to some extent, some more than others, that we are responsible for the circumstances of our lives.
That smarts. But it also frees and empowers us. We are not victims. Nor are we problems.
Instead of thinking of ourselves
as problems, our-own-worst-enemy, stupid people, mistake-makers, or anything that is going to make us feel small and powerless, let's shift our thinking.
I like to imagine stepping into the basket of a hot air balloon and rising above ground-level thinking. Somehow the symbolism of that invites new perspectives.
You might want to give it a try. Imagine floating over a beautiful countryside and being able to see for miles in all directions. Watch for a sense of expansiveness within you. Trust that everything you have experienced so far has led you to now and that right now is full of promise and potential for you, which is true.
Today's focus is compassion, followed by hope and wisdom.
Let's be kind to ourselves and one another. Let's trust in what is unfolding. And let's listen, learn, and be guided to greater good for ourselves and the good of all others.
With love, gratitude, and joy,
Charlene
