"Courage is not the absence of despair; it is, rather, the capacity to move ahead in spite of despair."
~ Rollo May
As the Wizard assured the
"Cowardly Lion," we all have courage.
That lion is an example of demonstrating courage even though he was anything but fearless. He had lots of fears, doubts, and anxieties. Moments of despair too when it seemed the Wicked Witch would win out in the end.
Let's each be assured that, with the courage that is indeed within us, we can move ahead despite fears, doubts, depression,
and despair.
"Ahead" may be smaller than a baby step. We may need to rest afterward.
Wherever we are on the continuum of confidence and hope today, may we tune in for guidance for our own best way to move ahead.
With courage and faith,
Charlene
