TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will."

~ Mahatma Gandhi

Strength can also come from adversity.

Someone said, "He knows not his own strength that hath not met adversity.”

I see this attributed to at least three sources.

But we all could say it in our own way and tell a moving story about it, could we not? For who among us has not faced adversity?

We all know what it's like to realize we have more strength than we thought we had.

I think we all also know what it's like to have adversity seem to drain us of strength, at least for a time.

Whenever our strength feels low, let's remember to remember that our strength comes from the Source of Strength and a renewal of strength is available to us.

May every challenge stretch our capacity for strength. Compassion and wisdom too.

May love lead us through every woe.

With grace,
Charlene
