TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, to forgive."

                      ~ Maya Angelou

But "forgiveness is not always easy. At times, it feels more painful than the wound we suffered, to forgive the one that inflicted it." said Marianne Williamson. "And yet, there is no peace without forgiveness," she added.

"Never does the human soul appear so strong as when it foregoes revenge and dares to forgive an injury," said Edwin Hubbel Chapin.

So, with strength and for peace - health too - may we give ourselves this great gift.

"Because forgiveness is like this," said Desmond Tutu. "A room can be dank because you have closed the windows, you've closed the curtains. But the sun is shining outside, and the air is fresh outside. In order to get that fresh air, you have to get up and open the window and draw the curtains apart."

We need fresh air.
We need light.
We need peace.

With the hope of Spring,
with the grace of Passover,
with the promise of Easter,
may we release fears,
forgive all things,
and be renewed.

Into joy with faith and love,
Charlene
