"Hope fills the holes of my frustration in my heart."
~ Emanuel Cleaver
For many of us, it's easy to experience frustration when our plans are thwarted. Also,
we react, resist, and rail against certain conditions in the outer world and in our own sphere.
We may blame others. We may blame ourselves. Frustration can spiral into despair and depression. Or resentment and anger.
But wait. There's hope. There is always hope.
Yes. "There are dark shadows on the earth," said Charles Dickens. "But its lights are stronger in the contrast."
Let's look toward the lights today.
Think of a time when the tide turned for you. Remember when a blessing came from a challenge. Remember a time when you felt divinely protected and guided. Perhaps you felt an angelic
presence.
Let's look toward what stirs our gratitude and joy too.
"All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all matter of thing shall be well," said Julian of Norwich. Actually she said that Jesus said this to her in one of the "Showings" she experienced.
With the gift of hope, we too have the capacity to believe
that "all shall be well."
May hope rise within us and fill any and all holes in our hearts. May all our hurts be comforted and healed too.
With love,
Charlene
