"In what you say of another, apply the test of kindness, necessity and truth, and let nothing pass your lips without a 2/3 majority."
~ Liz

In these days of false news, alternative facts, reckless repeating, rude telling it like it is, and outright lying, it seems critical for each of us to avoid falling into such patterns of communicating.
So let's fact check and apply the 2/3 majority test. Better yet, why not go for 3/3?
This principle has been expressed in many ways. I especially
like The Three Gate Rule:
Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates:At the first gate, ask yourself “Is is true?”
At the second gate ask, “Is it necessary?”
At the third gate ask, “Is it kind?”
And the
Rotarian Four-Way Test:
1) Is it the truth?
2) Is it fair to all concerned?
3) Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
4) Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Minimally and wisely, may we speak the truth.
Always kindly,
Charlene
