"There are no greater treasures than the highest human qualities such as compassion, courage and hope. Not even tragic accident or disaster can destroy such treasures of the heart."
~ Daisaku Ikeda
Today's touchstone punctuates yesterday's opening quote, which was:
We can live with many issues and challenges. But it's hard to live without imagination and hope.
It's hard to live without joy too. And without love and
compassion.
But we have these gifts and more, says Daisaku Ikeda. They are in our hearts.
And they are treasures.
Yet, it seems to me we don't yet grasp the greatness of them. And most of us don't yet know how to readily access them fully and use them anywhere near their potential. Myself included, of course.
Even though I am
hmm... some might say obsessed with these gifts, like most people, I sometimes feel without their vital presence. I wish I knew more about to access and use them in greater ways and how I might share my discoveries with all who are interested, with anyone who wishes to try my tools for themselves.
I also have faith that we are all capable of discovering how best we can tap into the love, the
courage, the hope that is in us.
I believe inner wisdom and all the gifts themselves are whispering to each of us, Come. Find me. Use me.
Let's listen.
And follow,
Charlene
