"We can live with lots of things, but we can't live without imagination, we can't live without hope."
~ Ariel Dorfman
The good news is: we've got them. But we need
to use them and use them well in order to live well.
Without using hope and without using imagination in supportive ways that uplift, encourage and comfort us, we wither.
For anyone not sure you have imagination, consider this...
Even if we think we are not creative thinkers, not good at visualizing, and rarely pretend or fantasize, every day every one of us
uses imagination.
For example, we imagine how something is likely to turn out and we make up scenarios of what just happened, especially when we are treated in a way that hurt.
Since we have imagination, let's use it to our benefit and for the good of others. Let's imagine good things unfolding!
And hope? It's in there too. In your heart, mind, and soul.
Okay, I'm not sure where. It's probably not restricted to a little niche somewhere in you. Perhaps it's in every little cell of your being.
I'm using imagination now as I picture hope like an enzyme in our cells, all throughout our bodies as well as through and through the spirits we are.
Seriously, let's each summon hope. Let's nurture it. Let's sincerely welcome it.
May the power and the presence of hope come into your
thoughts and feelings from wherever hope is nestled in you.
With faith and gratitude,
Charlene
