"The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails."
~ William Arthur

Over the years I've heard arguments for the value of being the optimist, the pessimist, and the realist.
Today, let's aim to refrain from labeling ourselves and life situations.
Whatever we're facing - whatever our loved one are facing - instead of
rushing to complain, explain, rationalize, awfulize, deny, or fix, can we try something different?
Imagine being like a bird at the beach, standing at the shoreline where the waves break, wash upward over the sand and return to the sea. Imagine simply standing and feeling the wind.
There's wonder and awe in being present in present moments. There's beauty and wisdom too. And hope.
Always hope,
Charlene
