TODAY'S TOUCHSTONE

"Your heart isn’t breaking. It hurts because it’s getting larger. The larger it gets, the more love it holds.”

       ~ Rita Mae Brown

Grieving the loss of a loved one - and that includes the animals some call "family pets" and some just call "family - is painful. It does feel as if our heart is breaking.

In such times it seems as if my heart is breaking open.

I experienced several losses during the past week. A man, a good friend, a relative of a relative. And a cat. My daughter's cat, my 7-year-old grandchildren's cat. A part of their family.

Some among you have suffered recent losses too. All of us have experienced many losses over time.

For every loss, may we be ready to receive love, hold love, and show love. Compassion too.

For every hurt, may we care, be kind to each other, and value living and loving.

More and more,
Charlene
