"Never, ever underestimate the importance of having fun."
~ Randy Pausch
Yesterday
I was feeling playful
wanting to have some fun with you
and as I thought "what to say
what to do"
I heard a
song
it's true
I hope you know it too
Do you?
Like a Rolling Stone
I don't know why this Bob Dylan song started playing in my mind. I do know that it soon led to fun as I played with the lyrics and wrote new ones for you.
Unlike the original downfall of someone who
"used to dress so fine, then found herself without a dime...scrounging for her next meal... feeling without a home like a rolling stone,"
this version is about how you are like a polished stone. I hope that
along with being touched with a sense of fun, you feel the truth of how you are like a polished stone...strong, bright, beautiful and valuable. Life's tumbles have helped make you shine.
Like a Polished Stone
"Once upon a time you didn’t feel so fine
Thought you’d never shine or reach your prime, didn’t you?
Some folks call say, “don’t worry at all, even if you fail or fall’
You thought they were all kidding you
You used to cry about
Thought you’d never be without
Feeling low and having
doubts
But after tumbling about
Instead of getting all worn out
You found your zeal, became more real
So how does it feel, how does it feel?
To finally come into your own
In yourself you’re at
home
Shalom, I see it in you, a song, a poem
Strong and bright you shine, like a polished stone"
All of what we have experienced, all that we will, will lead us to even greater strength and beauty.
With love and smiles,
Charlene
