"There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty."
~ Frank L. Baum
Do you think of yourself as a courageous person?
I believe we've all been surprised at least once in our lives when we realized we have more courage - and strength - than we had previously thought.
Remember
Baum's Cowardly Lion? He's an example of how we can misjudge ourselves, thinking that we lack something when we are actually using and demonstrating that quality day after day.
"Courage doesn't always roar," Mary Anne Radmacher reminds us. "Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow.' "
Courage is plentiful within you. It's right there, next to love, near the beauty of you.
Let's aim to see the beauty in ourselves and others. The courage too.
Through the eyes of love,
Charlene
