"It's not that 'today is the first day of the rest of my life,' but that now is all there is of my life."
~ Hugh
Prather
This present moment is what we have to enjoy beauty, to learn, to hurt, to forgive, to dance, to bake a cake...to do anything...mostly...to
be.
Right now take a few moments to scan yourself for what your physical body is feeling. Give caring attention from head to toe, inside and out.
Next, note your emotions. There could be two, such as gratitude and delight. Or there could be several, perhaps resistance, impatience, and boredom. Or there could be many active emotions. Breathe and let yourself be. Refrain from
judging. Just observe what you are experiencing and accept it.
This is one of many ways, large and small, that we can become more present and aware.
Now, before moving on, hug yourself.
Love yourself.
Celebrate you!
With reverence and joy,
Charlene
