"The sky takes on shades of orange during sunrise and sunset, the colour that gives you hope that the sun will set only to rise again."
~ Ram Charan
Oh how I love
orange-glowing sunrises and sunsets, especially in Sedona, AZ, where we used to live, and on Sanibel, FL, where we sometimes visit. On Sanibel and her sister, Captiva - and other islands - sunset is an occasion for celebration. Visitors, as well as residents, trudge carefully across the sand, balancing glasses of wine or other "spirits" to the west-facing beach chairs, situated for clear views of the sun seemingly sinking into the sea. The watchers watching
with awe give me hope too. I'm encouraged whenever I see adults appreciating beauty and nature with wonderment and reverence.
Chances are high, however, that for many of us in the Southeast, the next few sun rises and sets are likely to be obscured by rain
and gunmetal grey skies. A tropical storm is in the region.
Despite the storms of nature's weather and the storms of troubles in our lives, let's remember that the Light is always shining. Let's notice the beauty in clouds and in storms too. It is there.
Truly,
Charlene
