"Hope is seated in our hearts," wrote author Caren Goldman.
Whenever I hear this quote, I perceive it as hope being "seeded" in our hearts. And I think of plants.
Two years ago my husband and I planted a butterfly garden in our back yard. And oh my, did it attract butterflies.
This past winter we experienced several freezes here in central Florida, which killed some of the plants in our butterfly garden. Many of those
plants are re-appearing, however, in the form of new growth pushing through the soil and buddings bulging on branches that seemed dead.
We've even spotted a few monarchs yesterday.
Sometimes things only appear dead. Vitality can be renewed in tired bodies. Love
can bloom again in seemingly dead relationships.
With hope and faith,
Charlene
