"A few minutes ago every tree
was excited, bowing to the roaring storm, waving, swirling, tossing their branches in glorious enthusiasm like worship. But though to the outer ear these trees are now silent, their songs never cease."
~ John Muir
Yesterday's touchstone referred to hope singing in our hearts always, even when we don't feel hopeful.
The Facebook version of yesterday's Touchstone included a
photo that referred to the songs of children, birds, whales, and waterfalls.
Certain squirrels and bats sing too. Of course frogs sing. Certain fish and insects do. And there are many others.
Naturalist John Muir says
that trees sing, even though our ears can't hear their songs.
There's so much beauty beyond what we hear, see, smell and sense in the world. Beyond our usual perception, there's hope everywhere too.
Can you trust that you are hope-full?
Beauty-full? Joy-full? Always?
Truly,
Charlene
