Sometimes this is easy, yes? And sometimes, it's not

But with the gift of hope we can trust in what is happening. We can at least be at peace with the way things are now. We can even rejoice in them.

This embracing of what is doesn't mean we ignore injustices and disregard the callings we hear to work toward fairness and freedom for all. It doesn't mean we ignore our dreams. Nor do we ignore the inner promptings we feel to make healthier choices in some area of our lives.

On the surface, it's a paradox, a bit of a mystery. But with hope, we're comfortable with paradox and mystery. With hope, we rejoice in it.
