This we know: Many of the
reports carried in the news and many of the stories that circulate among us carry fear.
Instead of feeding fear, individually and together we can "build dikes of courage." Dikes of hope too.
We can speak of the good we see. We can reflect beauty. We can act with reverence for all, listen with open minds and hearts, and be strengthened.
Like Martin Luther King, Jr., but each in our own way, as best we can, let's dream of peace,
respect, and harmony among us and build it.
