Whenever I hear this quote,
using words alone, I think of God as the Strength beyond our strength, giving strength to our strength.
Then, because I'm a visual person, I like to picture Howard Thurman's words in a symbolic way.
And so I imagine that we all have something that is like a stone water well within us. Although it's invisible, in a spiritual and energetic way, it's very real.
Our wells go deep, but they are not bottomless.
However, they are all connected to The One Spring That Has No Limit.
That ever-present Spring always flows fully and is always available to provide for our needs.
