"On the Second day of Christmas..."
~ Frederic Austin
As you probably know, this quote is from "The Twelve Days of Christmas," which refers to the time from December 25 until January 5 and to the Nativity.
Well what do we make of the five-day span from December 26 to the day before New Year's Eve?
Some say there should be a name and a purpose for this transition time.
In Norway it actually does have a name: "Romjul."
Twittered suggestions for the English language include: Twixtmas and Crimbo Limbo.
But seriously, How do we best live these
transition/recovery/preparation days? Besides eating leftovers and cookies and exchanging things and cleaning up? And traveling?
I propose, on this second day of Christmas, that we open the gift of wisdom and listen for the whisper of inner guidance.
What would your soul most like you to do - or to know - during this time? Especially today?
Let's listen,
Charlene
