"...as you know, self love is far more complex than having a nice glass of wine and a warm bath. Ha!"
~ Mary Kay, a Today's Touchstone subscriber
Last Monday our focus was on listening to inner guidance. I shared about a time when I heard something loud and imperative that saved my life. Several of you wrote with responses. Today, with permission, I'm sharing the experience of Mary Kay. This is
what she wrote:
"Several years ago I was quite ill.
While laying in bed one day, I heard a voice...a male voice which I have heard before... telling me that if I wanted to come, I could come.
Without ever thinking of this before, and without missing a beat, I replied, out loud, that I had learned to love and honor
Your other creations, but had not yet learned to honor and love thiscreation...me, and that I would like to stay to learn to do that. The response was that it was fine, but know I could come whenever I wanted to.
Ever since that day, I have been on a journey to my depths to relearn early lessons that were less than self loving and self honoring....lessons that I took forward in my daily life. While important, and as you
know, self love is far more complex than having a nice glass of wine and a warm bath. Ha!
That day was a turning point in my life and I am grateful beyond words...If anything I have gone through or anything I have learned can serve to even plant a seed that may help someone else, I am more than willing to share."
What does this stir in you?
Thank you, Mary
Kay. Thank you all.
With love and reverence,
Charlene
