"Problems cannot be solved with the same mindset that created them."
~ Albert Einstein
Many - most - of our human problems spring from fear and
hate.
With Einstein's words in mind, when we respond to acts of violence like the most recent one in Las Vegas, let's move beyond the feelings that naturally first arise when we are looking for solutions.
Imagine what could be accomplished if, in our personal lives, in our public communities, in our country and the world at large, we approached problems in a new, enlightened way?
Imagine if we joined in the vision of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin who
"saw" this:
"Someday, after mastering the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness for God the energies of love, and then, for a second time in the history of the world, man will have discovered fire."
We have nothing to lose and so much to gain by holding high ideals, practicing them, and using them to work toward the greater good for all.
With hope,
Charlene
