“Life can change when we least expect it. Time is all we have. Spend it doing things that make you happy." - Tanya North Shymko
What first comes to mind when you read this quote? What do you picture?
This quote reminds me of my Aunt Angie who was the last living relative in the generation of my parents. She lived well into her 90s. Her advice was to be happy - both by choosing to do what makes you happy and choosing to be happy in all situations- and
to take a little nap each day.
I'm also reminded what my husband, Frank, said 20 years ago when I was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and told the average life span from that point was seven years. "I believe you are going to beat this and live a long, long time," he said. "But
we never know what can happen tomorrow. So let's follow our dreams now."
Today and every day, let's value our lives by choosing happiness and following our dreams. Consider taking naps too. For sure, live with joy.
Faith, hope, and love too,
Charlene
