"I am not a has-been. I am a will-be." Lauren Bacall
Many years ago, before I could participate in a certain medical study, I was interviewed. When asked about my work, I named The Twelve Gifts of Birth as a book I had published and I told the nurse a little about the one-year Polished Stone Tour my husband and I had recently completed. She nodded and said, "But what are you doing now? And what do you see yourself doing
in the future?"
Right now, are you mostly past, present, or future focused?
Whenever we shift from past thoughts to future ones, let's pause in the middle zone. In fact, let's reside there.
And when we think, say, and write, "I AM" to describe our present selves, let's often think of ourselves in terms of our gifts instead of only our roles and responsibilities
For example, I AM strong; I AM compassionate; I AM hopeful.
I AM wishing you the fullness of knowing yourself filled with each of The Twelve Gifts.
Especially love, joy, and beauty,
Charlene
