"Rainbows are made of small raindrops. Happy lives are made from acts of kindness.” ~ Amit Ray
I've got a riddle: What do small raindrops and small acts of kindness have in common? (Answer is below.)
They don't have to be big, neither the raindrops nor the kind actions. They just have to be plentiful to result in a rainbow and an overall happy life.
The next time we see a rainbow--or every time we see a rainbow from now on--remembering today's quote, let's be generous with acts of kindness.
Whether or not we spot a rainbow today, let's make room for today's photo in our minds. May the life-sustaining raindrops on the flower petals remind us of the life-affirming power of kindness.
Consider how every kind act nurtures us, both the ones we receive and the ones we give. Either way, we benefit. So let's be generous.
With kindness,
Charlene
Riddle Answer: When and where there are a lot of them, beauty and joy appear.
Okay, I didn't say it's a good one. You can probably come up with a better one. But a riddle, even a silly one, can be a
touchstone for remembering to be kind.
