Little by little or in leaps and bounds may we feel the truth of this.
God is a circle whose center is everywhere and circumference is nowhere.
That was expressed by St. Bonaventure, Voltaire, and others, and is another way of describing the Creator as Black Elk did.
God, The Great Spirit, The Infinite Loving Presence...out there so far away and right here so very near, with you, with me, with all that exists on land, in the sky, and the sea; and beyond.
Now and then I sense it. I imagine you do too. Our Oneness. It can happen suddenly when we have a heart connection with another human being or with an animal. It can happen when we see nature with reverence.
Perhaps you've experienced this when you heard honking and looked up to see a wedge of geese migrating across the sky. I had a small sense of it this week when a group of us watched two squirrels scamper into a tree hollow, peak out side-by-side, and look back at us.
Let's be open to experiences that lead us toward the first peace.
Today and every day,
Charlene
