"I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way (s)he handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights." ~ Maya Angelou
I found the above in a category of funny inspirational quotes. I was hoping to laugh as I write this and have you laugh when you read it. I'm not laughing but I did smile and I hope you will too.
Well let's see what insight comes from this for you and for me. Everything can show us something.
So, how do you handle rain? Lost luggage? Impossibly twisted Christmas lights or wires of any kind? My earbud wires have a way of tying themselves in knots when they're on their own, even when I wind them neatly.
We have friends who once flew from New York to Miami ready to begin a seven-day cruise only to find out they were a week late. How would you handle that? They were actually quite calm, accepting responsibility for their own mistake. They avoided blaming the cruise
line, or the dog for eating the confirmation, or how the stars were aligned, or even each other.
They are not the most organized people but from their response we learn they are compassionate with themselves and each other. I see wisdom in how they responded. Beauty
too.
For health in our bodies and in our relationships, let's go with the flow today, blaming no one and see how it leads us.
To love,
Charlene
