"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy (or gal) who'll decide where to go."
~ Dr. Seuss
I've got a brain, that's true. And so do you. But there are times we want nudges and clear signs too. This is true for me. Is it for you?
My feet are now in slippers. I'm ready for bed. But I can't rest my head until something of value has been said. So I've got to give up striving for this silly rhyming.
Seriously, have you noticed that shoes and direction have been themes here lately?
Personally, in my own life, I have a dream. I see the destination ahead. But the ways to get there are not yet clear. Yesterday one way looked best. Today I see another.
I also wonder about where we're headed as a country. How do we return to a path that's familiar yet new, one that's reaches higher to truth, justice, and respect for all?
And although I'm eager to know the best way to go, I've learned that, about anything, we 'll know when we know.
So let's practice patience.
With faith, hope, and love,
Charlene
