"The object of a New Year is not that we should have a new year. It is that we should have a new soul and a new nose; new feet, a new backbone, new ears, and new eyes.
~ Gilbert K. Chesterton
Even though we are 13 days into the New Year, 2019 is still fresh and potent, teeming with possibilities.
The main take-away for me is the image of a new soul, or a renewed soul.
I'm also stirred by the idea of new body parts and what we gain from them.
New feet enable us to be well grounded and to stand erect with confidence. With a new backbone we stand taller and walk with courage. With new ears, eyes, and nose we perceive everything differently, better than we ever did before. Our heart is more sensitive. We are more compassionate, wiser, stronger, hopeful, and
loving.
Let's make it so with faith, imagination, and commitment.
For health, joy, peace, and prosperity,
Charlene
