Perhaps you've heard about the various studies that have shown what happens in a classroom when a teacher receives glowing reports vs. negative reports about the students they are about to meet at the start of a school year.. Wow! It is amazing. Expectations make a huge difference!
Predictably, students and all people perform better when they feel themselves appreciated and valued.
Today, let's look for and see greatness in ourselves and one another, especially those near and dear to us. Sometimes, sadly, we focus on what needs improvement (according to us) in those we know very well, especially family members.
Whenever we catch ourselves judging and focusing on anyone's weakness, let's pause and switch to looking for goodness and greatness.
Imagine if we all chose to be more loving, accepting, kind and supportive. I can almost hear the song: "Oh what a wonderful world this would be."
