"The old year is put to bed, one's business is finished, and the harvest of spiritual maturity is reaped as wisdom and forgiveness." ~ Joan Borysenko
Happy New Year's Eve. May we end this year with a sense of completion and look to the new year with a sense of promise.
If there's anything we need to do to close 2018 with a clear mind and a light heart, let's do it.
If nothing "required" comes to mind, consider doing something as a symbol. It can be as simple as lighting a candle, saging the house, or feeding the birds.
I like the idea of doing three things: some caring action for my own well-being, an expression of appreciation to my closest loved ones, and a gesture of reverence for nature.
Let's begin 2019 with readiness to heal, learn, laugh, love, grow, discover, delight in life and make a difference. What might we do with some of our time and talent to ease suffering and bring joy to others as well as to ourselves?
Joy is a key. Joy gives us clues. May we all do more of what stirs joy in our hearts.
Love too,
Charlene
