"This is important: to get to know people, listen, expand the circle of ideas. The world is crisscrossed by roads that come closer together and move
apart, but the important thing is that they lead towards the Good." ~ Pope Francis
Imagine if we all became more curious and respectful. Imagine if we starting asking one another, "What do you think about that? How do things look from your perspective?" Imagine if we then calmly listened to understand, not argue. Can you imagine it? It is possible. It's wise
and healthy too.
At least for this day, let's stretch beyond our previous best to share our perspectives and listen to understand.
Consider carrying an apple and this George Bernard Shaw quote with you for inspiration:
“If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.”
With hope and joy,
