"When your values are clear to you, making decisions becomes easier." ~ Roy E. Disney
So much is changing now. What standards do we use for making decisions?
I had planned to focus on something else today, but I decided to share what's on my mind and heart, personally.
My Aunt Angie died a few days ago. She was 96. Her funeral is
this Saturday, many states away from where I now live. I debated about traveling there. I almost convinced myself that I didn't need to go. I listed so many "good" reasons. But I remembered the special relationship I had with her for many years many years ago, and the wonderful relationships I had with all the family members from that generation. She is the last. My own parents have been gone for 20 years. I thought of cousins I would see. My soul said,
Go.
My point is this:
While many things change, some do not. Let's hold on to the human values that we share. Let's value relationships. Let's care for ourselves and one another with love, respect, and kindness. Let's bring wisdom into all things too, too. Let's listen, not to
voices of fear, but to our own souls.
With trust,
Charlene
