"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap
of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web." ~ Pablo Picasso
We are all artists in some genre. We are have the ability to receive inspiration, insights, intuition, emotions, guidance, and grace.
Some of the greatest but unheralded artists among us are artists of the everyday - those among us who live joyfully in the here and now and bring love into all they
do.
They may not make music, or throw pots, or paint with oils, but artists of everyday life are often - almost always -making something beautiful. Their tools are smiles, listening, laughter, acceptance and attentiveness, warmth and sincerity, a readiness to help when they see a need, and their very being.
Like classical and folk artists, artists of the
everyday may be inspired by the sky, the earth, spider webs, fireflies, birds' nests, storms, scraps of paper, just about anything.
We are all capable of producing in this genre, creating beautiful days for ourselves and others.
