“The whole course of human history may depend on a change of heart in one solitary and even humble individual." ~ M. Scott Peck
We may scoff at this notion. But
consider the butterfly effect. In case you're not familiar with it, by definition it is: "the phenomenon whereby a minute localized change in a complex system can have large effects elsewhere."
In other words a butterfly flapping its wings in New York can affect the weather in California. And the opening of one closed heart somewhere can affect hearts elsewhere. If you think you have
very little influence in the world, think again.
Even though we may never know specifically what good we bring into the world by doing this, let's become especially mindful of our hearts today,
right now. Is there an issue, an area of life, a relationship...anything...that is calling for a change of heart?
Take a moment to tune in and listen for
guidance.
Perhaps this is the day a shift happens within us.
We forgive, or let go, or make the call, or take a tiny step. When we do, something positive will happen, very near and within us as well as somewhere far. If not today, perhaps tomorrow. For sure someday. Our hearts will open.
Today, let's be open to grace.
With love,
Charlene
