"Miracles happen everyday,
change your perception of what a miracle is
and you'll see them all around you."
- Jon Bon Jovi
Albert Einstein once said, “There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
I love to remember and appreciate past experiences of wonderment, when seeing natural occurrences struck me as miraculous, such as watching sunrises and sunsets.
I'm realizing as I write this that many involve water. One is observing the early morning sparkles on millions of dew tipped blades of grass before the sun dries them.
Another is the time my husband and I were standing in warm gulf water at low tide on Sanibel Island and we discovered a vast bed of living sand dollars. There seemed to be millions of the living creatures just below the surface.
If my toe hadn't felt a sharp edge of something, and if I hadn't bothered to investigate, we may have never learned about the hidden treasure that's often present there.
I wonder: How often do we miss seeing everyday miracles?
Let's open our eyes, our minds, and our hearts today to the many miracles all around us and give thanks for them.
With love, gratitude, and reverence,
Charlene
