“Life. This morning the sun made me adore it.
It had, behind the dripping pine trees,
the oriental brightness, orange and crimson,
of a living being, a rose and an apple,
in the physical and ideal fusion of a true and daily paradise.”
― Juan Ramón Jiménez
"Tis the season" to appreciate the dawning of light in the morning sky, to wonder at the crimson glow of the rising sun, and to give thanks for the new day, for all creation, and our part in it.
A few days ago, the sunrise was so spectacular, I stopped what I was doing, watched with awe, and took this photo.
Since the first day in this month of honoring creation, I've caught and released a few geckos from our home, watched squirrels play, recycled as usual, and tended our garden with love. I haven't yet done anything that reflects my deepened commitment to care for the well-being of our earth and creation. Mostly, I've greatly appreciated Mother Nature and prayed for her, for
all of us. How about you?
I'm wondering if you have remembered that this month is the "Season of Creation." No matter how seemingly large or small our efforts may seem, let's hold attitudes and choose actions that reflect our love and reverence for all life.
Wishing you deep peace and well-being,
Charlene
