"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
A few days ago, my husband and I drove from central Florida to Atlanta, Georgia. Most of the time, we rolled along smoothly. But, like life's journey, our trip included a few incidents, accidents, an unexplained slowdown, a detour, and several storm cells. Several times the rain was so heavy that we couldn't see anything through our windshield, as shown in
the photo above.
But on the other side of each challenge, we experienced clear blue skies, puffy white clouds, and brilliant sunlight. The trip took longer than we expected, but we arrived safely, having gained a few fresh insights and appreciations, just in time to watch a beautiful sunset.
As we move through this day - as we move through our lives - let's remain open to every aspect of our human adventure.
At times we may lose sight of where we are and where we are going. But clear vision will come, again and again, especially when we seek to see with our hearts and we hold hope.
With love,
Charlene
