"Problems call forth our courage and our wisdom."
- M. Scott Peck
"If we really want to love, we must learn how to forgive. - Mother Teresa
"Get on with living and loving. You don't have forever. - Leo Buscaglia
These three quotes can be found on the opening pages of The Twelve Gifts in Marriage, setting the tone for the fable and the twelve wishes "for all couples for all time."
The intention of the book's message and the wishes are broader, however, meant to encourage us to bring love, compassion, courage, wisdom - all the gifts - into all our relationships.
May these three quotes guide us in how we can best relate, communicate, and share ourselves with parents, children, siblings, spouses, neighbors, all family and friends. Everyone.
So be it.
With love always,
Charlene
