"Wonder is the heaviest element on the periodic table. Even a tiny speck of it stops time." - Diane Ackerman
Even though studying the periodic table of elements in chemistry class was a long, long time ago for me, I appreciate this clever play on words now.
Of course wonder is not on the periodic table and it's not an element. It can't be measured or weighed. We can't see it with our eyes. But wow! What a capacity it is within us, this gift of reverent awe.
Now and then we've all slipped into profound eternal moments. Let's prepare ourselves to experience more of them by opening our hearts, minds, and eyes to see the world as we did when we were children.
Whether it's a stunning landscape or morning dew glistening on grass, let's pause to notice and appreciate the beauty.
With love and joy,
Charlene
