"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." - John Muir
I try to avoid using absolutes like always, never, and every. However, I must say that my time in nature almost always grants gifts beyond those I seek. What about you? To what extent does nature heal, renew, empower and inspire you?
We're told we could all benefit from more Vitamin N(ature). I believe it. And why not spend more time in the natural world?
Walk. Hike. Or ride a bike. Sometime sit, close your eyes, and feel the breeze. Listen for bird calls. See what draws the attention of your eyes, your nose, your ears, your heart. Watch for beauty, wisdom, and guiding insights.
With love and reverence,
Charlene
P.S. - As you probably know by now, I have gained so many insights and uplifts from nature that I wrote a book about it: The Twelve Gifts from the Garden: Life Lessons for Peace and Well-Being.
Consider writing the gifts that nature grants to you. Record your insights and uplifts. They are truly valuable, for you and others. We all have much to share and to pass on to our children's children.
THE NINTH GIFT IS REVERENCE.
May you appreciate the wonder that you are
and the miracle of all creation.
