“Lasting effects in the lives of others can come from small, simple acts." - from The Twelve Gifts from the Garden
We all get chances to be instruments of blessings, healings, and answered prayer - to be the recipients of such too.
Often the acts are small, yet powerful, like the child who gave me a four-leaf clover after we talked about the message of The Twelve Gifts of Birth at the residential facility for children, where he lived.
That was more than 20 years ago. I was reminded of him recently when I came upon a thriving spread of clover in the garden I write about.
I still have the little stem with four leaflets that he gave me. Whenever I see it, I feel uplifted. And I wonder: What became of that child? Where is the young man he became? I often send him love and best wishes.
Let's be receptive to encounters, conversations, and opportunities to be of service today - and to be served. And let's send love and good wishes to all who aided us over the years, in ways large and small.
With gratitude, love, and joy,
Charlene
