"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." - Mahatma Gandhi
A similar thought helped me when I faced lymphoma 20 years ago. Someone encouraged me to remember that even if millions of confused cells were causing trouble in my body, 70 trillion healthy cells were working to maintain balance and restore wellness.
No matter what troubles may be happening in our bodies, our communities, our country, and the world, many more individuals - cell beings and human beings - are working for the greater good.
The best thing we can do is to stay among the "do gooders." While holding hope, let's contribute our time and talent to the wellness in humanity and in the world.
With strength, compassion, love, and faith,
Charlene
