“Try to live so that every day is a new creation." - Joan Chittister
Yesterday I received a 2021 calendar from the Benedictine Sisters of Erie, PA, with whom I feel a special kinship. It features quotes from author Joan Chittister.
I wish to offer a few quotes from Sister Joan for your consideration today.
Along with the two already featured are these:
Don't be afraid to speak. Be afraid what will happen to the whole truth if you don't.
To be dedicated to God, we must be dedicated to the whole of creation.
"Do you hear what I hear?" goes the Christmas song. I ask because I know we all hear and see things uniquely.
I hear encouragement to live each day refreshed, enlivened, and hopeful, with reverence for all creation. I feel reminded to use courage to stand up and speak for truth and justice. I feel gently urged to slow down and be present so that I can embrace life and experience its sacredness.
I'd love to hear what you hear!
With love,
Charlene
