“Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off...Dance when you’re perfectly free."
- Rumi
Dance through it all, said poet Rumi.
Whether or not we tango, tap, twist, swing, floss, free-style, or move our feet on a floor at all, we can always dance on the inside.
Some days I do the "Chocolate Melon" line dance with abandon.
Other days I practice the most basic "Dance with Life" steps: Breathe. Feel. Aim to embrace. Exhale. Aim to let go. Breathe. Feel. Aim to embrace...Repeat, repeat, repeat.
I hope you'll dance today. Feel for your inner beat, listen for the song of your soul, and dance your way.
With joy,
Charlene
PS - I love to watch the cranes that dance in our backyard. Sometimes they dance purposely, to mate, but some cranes simply like to dance all year long. It's a joy to see! See below.
"There's something about the air, something in the air today...I think it's joy." - from The Twelve Gifts from the Garden, a book 0f comfort and joy.
