"Life is one big road with lots of signs." ~ Bob Marley
There are signs and there are signs.
No U Turn. Keep Right. Keep Left. Slow Speed. Dangerous Curve Ahead. Yield. Merge. Dear End. No Passing Zone.
Have you ever noticed how signs that give direction for safe driving can sometimes be guidance on life's journey? Yield, for example?
That's when a sign is another kind of sign. We all receive them at times. Meaningful coincidences. Finding dimes or feathers. Seeing a certain bird or butterfly.
Let's watch for signs today. When one appears, let's be gratefully open to the guidance that's offered.
Today's Touchstone photo was a sign for me. I came upon those parallel logs filled with a cache of seashells after a tropical storm on Sanibel Island. Affected by the scene, I took a picture and wrote about it:
"To me it seems like a bridge, maybe not over troubled water, but formed by troubled water. I take a picture of this beautiful thing...I'll keep it as a reminder that beauty can emerge from chaos and of my intention to stay side by side with my loved ones in all life's storms." - from The Twelve Gifts from the Garden.
If you've had a sign become a guiding touchstone for you and you'd like to share it, I'd love to hear about it.
You are welcome to use my beach bridge as a touchstone if it speaks to you. It might even be your sign.
Whether or not a sign appears to you today, notice beauty and let your hope be nourished by it.
With love,
Charlene
